RemediaMedia accountability
Under Croatia's Electronic Media Act, a news site is responsible for its readers' comments unless it has registered users and clearly warned them about commenting rules. Here we track the news sites we have formally reported to the Electronic Media Agency (AEM) for comments that, in our assessment, amount to a threat, hate speech, incitement to violence or a serious insult - which the site neither removed nor prevented.
We don't publish the names of, or links to the profiles of, people who wrote the comments in question - the accountability we track is the news site's, not the individual commenter's. We only show news sites and posts for which a report was actually sent; an assessment that was never reported to anyone doesn't appear here.
