For organizations
Work with Remedia
Tools and data for organizations working on public discourse, media and disinformation.
Comment moderation tracking
In Croatia, news sites are legally responsible for comments under their posts. Remedia systematically records how they meet that obligation on their Facebook pages.
- Comments are captured with commenters' names and photos blurred. No unblurred copy is stored.
- AI flags only comments that may amount to threats, hate speech, incitement to violence or serious personal attacks. Other comments are not stored. A person makes the final call.
- Flagged comments are rechecked after 24 hours, 7 days and 30 days, and we record whether they were removed.
- Nothing is sent to the regulator automatically. The system collects evidence; people make the decisions.
Aggregate figures per news site are publicly available on the Media accountability page (in Croatian).
How organizations can take part
- Watchers flag posts and start checks through the extension.
- Partners see all reports and follow their status.
- Organization accounts can, once approved, publish their own fact-checks and articles on Remedia.
- Reports on specific news sites, periods or topics are available on request.
How we work with AI
AI helps us find, sort and summarize large volumes of content. Claim reviews and brief reports are always published by a person. We are open about what is automated and what isn't in our methodology.
Who is behind it
Remedia is run by the Artes Association, founded by Aleksandar Perc.
