Methodology
How we work
What we check, how we rate it, and where we use AI.
What we check
We review specific claims circulating in public, regardless of who made them. We don't rate opinions, only factual claims that can be verified.
How a review is made
- We find a claim by monitoring news sites and social media, or through reader reports.
- We look for primary evidence: official data, scientific papers, original statements and independent reporting.
- AI helps gather and structure the material and proposes a draft.
- A person reviews the evidence and the draft, corrects it and decides whether the review is published.
Rating scale
- True – the claim is accurate and nothing significant is missing.
- Mostly true – the claim is accurate but needs clarification or additional context.
- Half true – the claim is partially accurate but leaves out important details or takes things out of context.
- Mostly false – the claim contains an element of truth but ignores critical facts.
- False – the claim is not accurate.
When there isn't enough evidence for a reliable conclusion, we say so.
Where we use AI, and what is automated
We want you to always know what was written by a person and what by a machine.
- Claim reviews and brief reports: AI prepares a draft; only a person publishes. We sign this content as "Remedia Ai", so no one takes personal credit for text that AI partly wrote.
- Alternative headlines: AI writes and publishes these automatically, without prior human review. They are labeled as automatically generated, and editors review them afterwards and remove bad ones. If you see a bad headline, please report it.
- Facebook posts: AI writes a short post for a new article. The post is scheduled with a delay, during which an editor can edit or cancel it.
- Comment reports: AI only suggests which comments need review. People make the decisions.
Corrections
We make mistakes too. If you think a review contains an error, write to kontakt@remedia.social. When we correct content, we note at the bottom of the article what was corrected and when.
Independence
Remedia is run by the Artes Association. We take no money from political parties and don't allow our tools to be used in political campaigns.
