US authorities have released 28 new files about unidentified anomalous phenomena, commonly known as UFOs. The documents contain reports of unusual objects in the sky, radar sightings, and accounts of strange events. However, their release does not prove that people have encountered alien craft or beings.
One report describes an incident from June 2026, when two federal agents in the western United States reported seeing a matte black, triangular object. According to their account, it rose above a ridge and then moved at high speed toward a canyon. The US Department of Defense office responsible for investigating such cases says the incident needs further investigation, but it has not yet identified the object.
The documents also include older reports, among them a radar sighting of an unidentified object in 1957 and accounts of unusual sightings near the California coast. For one sighting in 1955, the US Air Force concluded that a meteor was the likely explanation.
Reports from a ranch in Utah have also attracted attention. Witnesses described glowing spheres and unusual creatures. However, analysis of some samples collected at the site found dog DNA, indicating that at least some of the traces had an ordinary animal origin.
The files also include documents explaining how US institutions should respond if they find the remains of spacecraft. Such procedures do not mean that alien technology has been discovered. They are also linked to space programs and Cold War competition between the United States and the Soviet Union.
The release therefore does not confirm sensational claims about extraterrestrial visitors. It shows that some reported sightings remain unexplained, while others have possible conventional explanations. An unidentified object simply means that its origin has not been established. It does not mean that it has been proven to come from outer space.
