The problem
Posts in closed groups and on pages can disappear or change at any moment, and without evidence a fact-check has nothing to stand on.
Three steps
1 Bring the post on screen
Scroll so the post is visible. What you see of the page is what gets captured.

2 Right-click, āšø Snimi kao dokazā
The extension captures the visible part of the page and reads the post's text, the author's name and profile, the time of the post and, if it finds it, the group's name. (The menu item is labelled in Croatian.)

3 The evidence is saved
The message āā Dokaz spremljenā (evidence saved) says the capture is at Remedia, in the evidence queue for editors. Nothing is written by itself: an editor later uses it as a source when writing a fact-check.

The pictures were taken by the real extension on an invented page with invented names and comments. The reply and summary texts in the example are sample text, not the work of a real AI.
Quick look

Who it is for
For people who follow misinformation and see posts others don't: fact-checkers, researchers and editors.
Availability
Free for signed-in extension users, no credits. At most 20 captures a minute. Works on facebook.com.
Frequently asked questions
- What if the post is taller than the screen?
- Only the visible part is captured. For a long post, scroll so what matters fits.
- Who sees the saved evidence?
- Remedia's editors, in an internal queue. It is not published and not tied to a person or a page automatically; an editor decides that.
- What is sent, and is anything blurred?
- A screenshot of the visible part of the page, the post's text, the author's name and profile, the time, the group (if found) and the post's address. Unlike reporting comments, names in the screenshot are not blurred, so other people may be visible in it.
