The Remedia extension

Context while you read, without opening new tabs.

What you get

  • Fact-check labels. When you read an article Remedia has reviewed, you'll see a label with the rating and a link to the review.
  • Clearer headlines. On supported news sites we replace clickbait headlines with one that says what the article is actually about. These headlines are written automatically by AI and labeled as such. If one is off, let us know.
  • Community warnings. Pages that users have flagged as unreliable appear dimmed, so you can decide for yourself whether to read them.

How you can help

  • Report a suspicious page with one click. Reports are anonymous and need no account.
  • Request a review of an article or post. You'll get a queue number and, if you like, an email when the review is published.
  • Flag a page you don't recommend. This one requires signing in.

Privacy

The extension automatically checks only the address of the page you're viewing, on every page you visit. On Facebook, when you right-click to open the menu, the extension reads the nearby post or comment text locally in your browser so the chosen action is ready immediately — but nothing is sent to our server until you pick a specific action (e.g. "Generate response" or "Summarize article"). It doesn't read your messages, passwords or forms, and we don't sell data. More in our privacy policy.

Install

Free. Works right after installing, no sign-up needed.

On the web

Alongside the extension you can use Skimming to scan news from several sites at once, and search our claim reviews.
