Dezinformacija da je čelnik Svjetskog ekonomskog foruma u kritičnom stanju potekla je sa stranice koja učestalo širi dezinformacije.

Na Facebook profilu privatne korisnice 20. travnja podijeljen je članak s portala Real Raw News (arhivirano <a href="https://archive.li/r9rOI" rel="noopener" target="_blank">ovdje</a>) s naslovom (prevedeno s engleskog jezika) “Zdravstveno stanje Klausa Schwaba se pogoršava nakon uhićenja”. Uz članak je objavljen i sljedeći status (arhivirano <a href="https://archive.li/9bwSp" rel="noopener" target="_blank">ovdje</a>):
<blockquote>“Zdravstveno stanje Klausa Schwaba pogoršava se nakon hapšenja. 
Osnivač Svjetskog ekonomskog foruma, Klaus Schwab, nalazi se u kritičnom stanju u pomorskoj bolnici Guantanamo Bay i ljekari se pitaju da li će ludi megaloman poživjeti dovoljno dugo da mu se sudi za zločine protiv čovječnosti”.</blockquote>

Tvrdnje da je čelnik Svjetskog ekonomskog foruma Klaus Schwab uhićen i da se nalazi u kritičnom stanju su netočne. Glasnogovornik WEF-a za <a href="https://www.aap.com.au/factcheck/special-forces-raid-claim-is-the-stuff-of-fantasy/?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTAAAR35qd2hSoZTrd4nyBf4dr25cyP976B17mWqy7xYXkD9PK--EtvCDZVIgvU_aem_AWqcj5mM0GFWxtzC-g0EzTClljDW7l9Z1mJXt_K5Q1eepuYW3VsgkBs7Yiw-dnhmPwDZqBKTlFfn4seEBtSJgfh3" rel="noopener" target="_blank">AAP FactCheck</a> je potvrdio da su tvrdnje dezinformacije. Internetske stranice pokrenute kako bi objavljivale lažne priče s ciljem prikupljanja klikova pokrenule su glasine o čelniku WEF-a, koji je česta meta teoretičara zavjera.
Ove lažne tvrdnje počele su se širiti nakon što je portal pod nazivom <a href="https://archive.li/yz8UZ" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Weekly Crier</a> 14. travnja objavio članak s naslovom “Osnivač Svjetskog ekonomskog foruma Klaus Schwab hospitaliziran”. Weekly Crier u svojoj sekciji “O nama” ističe da osim “pouzdanih i nepristranih vijesti i informacija”, objavljuje “satirične i komične članke i uvodnike”.
U članku o Schwabu ne navode se nikakvi izvori, samo se kaže da je on “navodno sinoć kasno primljen u bolnicu” te da ostali detalji “nisu službeno objavljeni”. Dodaje se da je “Svjetski ekonomski forum u međuvremenu bio relativno tih po tom pitanju.”
Glasnogovornik WEF-a Yann Zopf za <a href="https://apnews.com/article/fact-check-klaus-schwab-hospital-dead-alive-607968130071" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Associated Press</a> je kazao da je zdravstveno stanje Klausa Schwaba odlično. “Poput mnogih istaknutih pojedinaca i organizacija, on i Svjetski ekonomski forum meta su teoretičara zavjere i dezinformacijskih kampanja”, kazao je Zopf.
<h4>Real Raw News je satirični portal</h4>
Također, valja spomenuti da je članak koji je podijelila korisnica Facebooka zapravo satira. Kako ističe portal <a href="https://www.yahoo.com/news/fact-check-viral-rumor-alleges-214400061.html" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Yahoo News</a> u svojoj provjeri činjenica, portal Real Raw News objavljuje članke satirične prirode. Naime, na samoj stranici u odjeljku o nama stoji da njihovi autori objavljuju humor, parodiju i satiru:
“Podaci na ovoj internetskoj stranici služe u informativne, obrazovne i zabavne svrhe. Ova web stranica sadrži humor, parodiju i satiru. Uključili smo ovo odricanje od odgovornosti radi naše zaštite, po savjetu našeg pravnog zastupnika”, navodi se na stranici.
2022. novinska agencija Reuters izvještavala je o sličnoj glasini tvrdeći da su američke specijalne snage uhitile Schwaba. Međutim i tada se radilo o netočnim informacijama.

Zaključno, čelnik Svjetskog ekonomskog foruma Klaus Schwab nije uhićen, niti se nalazi u kritičnom stanju u bolnici. Dezinformaciju je proširio internetski portal koji širi lažne informacije s ciljem prikupljanja klikova, a glasnogovornik WEF-a potvrdio je da su tvrdnje lažne i da je Klaus Schwab u odličnom zdravstvenom stanju.
